Iowa Democratic leaders trying to "rig the game"
DES MOINES – Democratic Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich said Iowa Democratic Party leaders and other groups aligned with the entrenched political power structure are "rigging the game in Iowa" by excluding him from two Presidential events this week.

"The whole purpose of the primary and caucus season is to provide voters with opportunities, not to enable a carnival of interest groups to subvert the process," Kucinich said. "When Party leaders and their allies pre-select which candidates they will allow the voters to hear, it's a disservice to the voters. Iowans deserve better than a rigged game."

Congressman Kucinich, (D-OH), was not invited to Sunday's Democratic Steak Fry in Indianola, nor to a Democratic Presidential Forum Thursday in Davenport. Representatives of both events have falsely claimed that Kucinich does not have a sufficiently "active organization" in Iowa.

However, statewide and national polls consistently show Kucinich running ahead of Senators Joe Biden and Christopher Dodd, who were invited to participate. A recent American Research Group poll in Iowa showed Kucinich getting 3% of the vote, ahead of Biden and Dodd, who were at the bottom with 1% each. In the Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg Poll in Iowa two weeks ago, Kucinich and Biden were both at 2% and Dodd was at 1%.

1. Somebody call the waaaahmbulence
You don't spend any money on organization in Iowa, you have no legitimate shot at the nomination, you don't have the right to bitch and moan when you're excluded from playing with the big boys.

12. He has as much *right* to be there as Clinton, Edwards, Obama or any other
candidate that is showing up. Whether or not he has a shot is irrelevant. He is a declared candidate and has as much right to be included in debates, forums, etc. as anyone else.

How DARE YOU try to subject your elitist discrimination and exclusion tactics on the democratic process of our government. The man qualified to run, he announced his run, he's running and should be included in all processes and official functions/debates. PERIOD.

You nay not like him or care for him but guess what? He's running. Get. Over. It.

14. He has no right to be anywhere.
These are private events sponsored by private individuals.

If they don't care to invite him, they are under no obligation to do so.

There are hundreds of "declared" Democratic candidates that are similarly ignored.

5. Here Are The Targets -- Start Shooting
Whether or not you support Kucinich, if you want to "take back" the Dem Party from the DC LieberDems, this is how it happens.

Iowa Democratic Party

Iowa Public Television

If you're a member of AARP you might also want to complain directly to them.

Hint: CCing to every email on the page will likely alert someone locally who had no idea they were being so anti-democratic.

7. This thread is misleading...
You make it sound like theres a master conspiracy to rig the entire election, this is just DK complaining about not being invited to an event in a state that he has little organized campaign in.

9. Dennis Kucinich is a Democratic candidate for presidency
He has signed and paid for the appropriate forms to be in the race. He has been campaigning for more than a year. His online campaigning is phenomenal. He has boots on the ground in every state and in many cities in those states.

His emails are full of solutions to our country's myriad and dire problems.

Why should he be excluded from events that the other candidate are invited to and attend?

11. Kucinich should have been invited.
However complaining you didn't get to to go to the Democratic Steak Fry in Indianola sounds well......... lets just say it doesn't sound Presidential.

I hate whining and Dennis is defiantly guilty of it's not fair ism.
