Rush: Shuster was "mean and cruel" to Marsha Blackburn.

Of course, ultimately to Rush it's all about . . .Rush. I am truly surprised he even mentioned the Marsha Blackburn interview, but he's of course more concerned about coverage of himself, and initiating the "Betray Us" name. (Titled, "David Shuster's Rush Obsession" on his website.) Anyway, here's Cyst Boy's "take" on it from today. (For those who don't like posts from there, some may be interested in knowing of his bizarre rant):

They accused her of not knowing the name and circumstances of an 18-year-old soldier that died from her district. She didn't know who it was and Shuster just really piled up. It was mean and cruel. It was everything liberals claim they're not. I don't know what's happened to David Shuster. He used to be okay when he was at Fox, but he's gotten over there, drinking the Kool-Aid at Mess-NBC. I guess trying to make a difference. They're trying real hard over there. Also remember when he called a 13 year old Chelsea Clinton the "White House dog?" He is a cheap and cowardly bully who is my age, and I hope he was picked on regularly throughout his miserable childhood. (He probably was.)

...you know you're on the right track when the Rush's of the world get their panties in a wad. And you notice how Rush is all po'd because he's "accused" of introducing the term Betrayus as a pun on Petraeus' name -- when, well, you know there are those pesky things known as TRANSCRIPTS and TAPE RECORDINGS that kinda make it hard to deny outright -- which you will also notice, he does not do.

What I enjoyed the most about Shuster's interview of Blackburn: Right near the very beginning of the interview, when he said something like, Why don't you want to talk about ... and she looked all primed, and confident, and you could see her gearing up for her bulldozer tactic, and she said with complete confidence: What I want to talk about today is the moveon.org ad... and then he just swooped down and destroyed her, never let her get any momentum on her talking points, never let her get on track with HER agenda; instead, as the interviewer, he controlled the agenda.

Showed the rest of them how it's done. Here's hoping at least some of our own pundits were taking notes.

And then he says "I don't think the dead soldier was from her district". Which is it Rush? Is he not from her district, or do you just not think he is from her district. The point is moot, she should know the name of the last soldier killed in Iraq anyway, even if, bychance (which I doubt) Shuster got the name wrong. That is pretty sad for a congress critter who says she spends a lot of time with the soldier's familys in her district.
