Pardon me: Why would Iran want to bomb our troops?
We are giving them what they want...a Shiite government in Iraq. If anything they would want to cooperate so the U.S. can leave.

That's why this explosive stuff has me baffled, outside of the fact that Bush*/Cheney*/NeoCon's are a spend your money on war machine.

1. No critical thinking allowed...
Iran is evil, got it? Iran has to be eliminated, got it?

Okay, good, now go back to watching American Idol.

5. Why would they ever want to help IRAQ?
That's what makes this particular propaganda so fucking silly. The two countries fought eight years to a stalemate in the 80s. They loathed the secular nature of Iraq's government and have done so for many decades. They are not Arabs, they're Persian; they have a completely different language and culture. Forget about Shi'a solidarity, it doesn't exist across ethnic lines with an enemy country.

It's like expecting Bob Jones U. to call Catholics and Mormons "our brothers in Christ" and offer priests and prophets teaching positions.

This whole thing is idiotic beyond belief. Just when I think they've said the stupidest thing possible, they just keep talking.

9. Are you serious?
I would consider Bush* as wanting revenge for the 1979 hostage crisis. He's all about cowboy.

13. i'm serious
if you were iran, would you feel threatened by american troops on your east & west borders, 2 carrier groups off your southern coast, and a constant drumbeat of threats from a halfwit wet brain narcissist with nuclear weapons?

i have no clue if iran is providing the shiia with bombs. i wouldn't be surprised if they were, and i wouldn't give a crap. bush may want revenge for 79, sure. he's a fucking idiot who's driven our empire into the ground.

i'm just suggesting that we can better deal with iran by trying to understand their motivations & mass psychology. i doubt their goal is to be destroyed in a nuclear war just to have the satisfaction of dropping a nuke on tel aviv.

15. I doubt Bush even remembers 1979
Wasn't he still coked out of his mind back then? Or had he slowed down to merely drunk out of his gourd?

8. They have oil and our oil companies want it and can't have it
So we need to make sure that Iran is killing Americans to get the sheep behind the war monger to destroy Iran as they have Iraq and in the end the oil companies will have oil at the the cost of a several hundred unfortunate Americans and thousands upon thousands of Arabs
Since the neocons don't see the people of different religious beliefs as having any value as a human, they don't count.

:sarcasm:

The United States has a long history in fabricating evidence. Such charges are unacceptable," Hosseini told reporters in Tehran.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini said Iran's top leaders were not intervening in Iraq and considered "any intervention in Iraq's internal affairs as a weakening of the popular Iraqi government, and we are opposed to that."

14. For this good reason:
They want us the hell out of the Middle East. The messier our involvment in Iraq is, the more dead Americans and wasted national treasure and exhausted troops and wounded/traumatized soldiers, the weaker our military is and the angier Americans are.

The weaker the military and the angier Americans are, the harder it will be for the US to influence events in the MidEast by use of military power. With Iraq and the US diminished on the regional stage, Iran's own national security is increased, as is their influence in the region.

However, this comes at a price: an unstable civil war on it's border, religious strife in it's neighbor, and the possiblility of military conflict with the world's foremost military power.

Having said all this, I would say that Iran, and Persia before that, has been playing politics and intrigue for millenia, and they would be able to play this 'supporting Shia in Iraq covertely' game a lot better than is being portrayed.

Portrayed by the White House, that is. That is looking increasingly interested in attacking Iran for it's own purposes.

Hmmm....
