He is the only thing they got going for them right now. He is their bogeyman of the hour. The Iranians have managed (along with our stupid media and the Bush regime) to get just about everyone all honked off at this one man.

If Ahmadinejad all of a sudden decides to spend more time with the family all the past years invested in propaganda to get Americans to hate this one man becomes wasted.

Think about it.

Iran's is an ancient civilization, rich in culture, art, scientific advance. The Persian people are good people - that is, they are the same mix of Eloi, Morlocks, and all shades in between as the rest of the world.


Like many civilizations, they are enduring an ugly period. Japan did the same. Germany did the same. Russia has done the same repeatedly. The US sanctioned slavery, committed genocide against the Native Americans.


Ahmadinejad is a bogeyman, just as is Kim Jong Il.

Without him, Iran is still a country under the control of "the crazies" as an Iranian acquaintance said a few years ago.

But it is no more "evil" than is Saudi Arabia, or Pakistan (who ALREADY have the frickin nuclear weapons).

All bluster and offensive talk aside, it is doubtful that a largely-figurehead jerk like Ahmadinejad could drag Iran into a suicide pact.

Some semblance of constructive dialog and reason should be able to get the world past his brief moment of fame - but the crazies running the US don't want that

We are in deeper shit than is Iran.
