Bush: "Be comfortable with your family. Work hard to make sure there is love in the White House."

http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=ZjhkZGFiMjc4YTJiYTcwZjQ3NjdjZTNhNGZjZjI4YjI=

<snip>

Asked what traits people should look for in choosing a President, George Bush responded immediately: “Be comfortable with your family. Work hard to make sure there is love in the White House.”

He went on to talk about how a president needs to have “rock solid” principles and warned that D.C. is a town where they will be constantly challenged. “If your principles ever get eroded, I don’t know how you will look in the mirror.”

He also said it was important to “soak in the beauty and greatness of America.” And whoever gets to the White House, he says: “Enjoy it as best you possibly can.” Reflectively he said of running for president, “I’m glad I did it.”

The president was very clearly looking inward as he offered his insights. But there was a clear, albeit unintended, takeaway from his immediate answer: the candidate who doesn’t talk to his children may lack the personal, loving support that his predecessor found indispensable.

17. Bush has no family values and no humility.
Edited on Fri Sep-21-07 02:41 PM by PDenton
Look at his two kids, you think there is any sign of parenting there? They are little drugged up/drunken whores.

Bush loves everybody because he goes through life with a drunken fratboy mentality. Everybody is his buddy. He has boundary issues, wheather it is patting his wife on the ass in public or giving Germany's Chancellor, Angela Merkel a back rub. But this is all superficial. Deep down he doesn't see anybody's pain or have any empathy with people that disagree with him.

You know, it just struck me... George Bush has mild signs of Narcissitic Personality Disorder. He projects an aura of power, he probably looks in the mirror and says "I'm the decider", but deep down he's trying to overcome a sense of inferiority to his father, and the fact that he is basicly little more than a dry drunk, and he knows this on some level. But his low intelligence prevents him from seeing how stupid he looks, something that most narcissists worry about. It also explains why he becomes very angry/anxious whenever things go bad. He really doesn't believe in his principles as much as he says he does, or he wouldn't get frutrated with the media so much. Narcissists usually love surrounding themselves with yes men (Gonzalez, Powell, Rice), or people who they consider great and wish to emulate(Cheney), and they don't like listening to people that disagree with them. In fact they interpret disagreement as emnity.

20. "Deteriorata"
(You are a fluke of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
Deteriorata, Deteriorata)

Go placidly amidst the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof. Avoid quiet and passive persons, unless you are in need of sleep. Rotate your tires. Speak glowingly of those greater than yourself; and heed well their advice, even though they be turkeys. Know what to kiss - and when. Consider that two wrongs never make a right, but that three do. Wherever possible, put people on hold. Be comforted, that in the face of all irridity and disillusionment, and despite the changing fortunes of time, there is always a big future in computer maintenance.

(You are a fluke of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
Whether you can hear it or not,
The universe is laughing behind your back.)

22. The question was "what traits people should look for in choosing a pres."
WEE, the little insignificant people, should look for a leader with the following traits:

1) A president must be sane.
2) A president must be competent.
3) A president must be elected.
4) A president must be willing to uphold their oath of office.
5) A president must represent the people of the United States.

Bonus points for a president that is coherent.
