A case in point is this MoveOn thing. They introduced the "sense of the Senate" bill yesterday knowing that it would piss off MoveOn members and drive a wedge between them on one side and the Democratic senators and larger Democratic electorate on the other. Now you can dig in your heels and do what they predicted and intended you to do all along when they thought of this strategy, and keep the focus where they want it and away from defeating them, or you can disallow them from fighting according to the plan that they picked for you.

It's your choice.

Personally, I'd be pretty embarrassed to find out I was being used as a pawn, acting so predictably as part of an opponent's scheme. They do everything for a reason; find out what that reason is if you want to avoid being manipulated. Do you honestly think they don't think about what we're going to do in reaction to what they do?

3. I kicked in $25.00 to MoveOn and I will vote Democrat in 2008.
The lesson learned here is that we need better Democrats representing us in Congress. Winning in 2008 doesn't mean we don't work to get more progressive, liberal representation on our side. Those Democrats who wish to be led by Republicans and are too fearful of supporting the majority of Americans deserve to be defeated in primaries. This vote ought to be a marker for those districts where their Democrats voted to support Republican politics.

5. But it sure is frustrating...
...when those we (most definitely including MoveOn.org) helped get elected as "fresh voices" in traditionally-red states (like Webb and Tester) side with the Publicans against their own supporters.
