Ever recieve a political FWD: email that isn't right-wing?

Some of them are quite long and graphic heavy. I have been receiving them for nearly a decade now and wonder if people are getting paid to create them?
Some are clever in a Rovian sort of way in that any attempt at correcting via "Reply all" will paint you as anti-troop and so on.

By the sheer volume of these over the years I have to suspect that they are produced by people who are payed to produce them.

I recall receiving this hoax email about NPR's funding being cut. Pretty sure there've been others.

But that's going back a long time. I have no doubt that there are well funded, organized efforts by RWers to pound out truly odious, nasty stuff that they can't get away with saying out loud on the bobblehead shows.

but I am Canadian, and anyone on my list knows better than to forward me the right wing shit; I get the progressive stuff from all sorts of folks all over the world. Although, now that you mention it, it's been kind of slow the past three months..........

5. I've wondered that myself for some time now.

There's probably some RW think tank that pays people to create them. On the rare occasions I get a liberal email, it's always a forward from something that has been published and is fully credited. These RW emails appear to be populist compositions, but anyone I've ever known who enjoyed them would never take the time to create one themselves.

6. I always check snopes...

and always hit "reply all" and send the snopes page URL, if there is one, and some comments about people who invent this kind of thing are liars, and that their cause must be pretty weak if they have to make up lies defending it.

It has certainly reduced the amount of shit I get.

Though I am often hesitant because I am afraid to hurt the senders feelings.
Many of mine come from people who I know are democrats but do not have the time to the research that the media is supposed to be doing.
But I'm at the point where it's getting offensive. Thanks.

8. I don't get right wing emails at all

because the first one I get from someone gets a referral to Snopes and a very strong admonition not to send any more without risking the ability to send me any mail at all.

If I've gotten a second, I've put the person on block. If they need to contact me, they can pay for a long distance phone call or a stamp.

I haven't gotten any right wing email in over a year. I have to think that my very stern policy against it is only part of the reason. I think that as people wake up to what conservatives really are, they're not bothering to forward the stuff.

The message is: if you don't support the troops (ie, the war in Iraq) by forwarding this something horrible will happen to you and you don't have angel wings. Or something like that!
