The O J Simpson Arraignment
As I watch the live coverage which is on all three cable channels I can not miss the sense of deja vu and marvel how surreal it is...Whatever you feel about his factual guilt or innocence it is a statement of his enduring fame or infamy and our culture....

7. Speaking about a sick need to be on TeeVee... get a load of that guy
behind oj's lawyer's left shoulder - with the missing teeth and the "I Heart Famous People" baseball cap and the "OJ 07" t-shirt on. Good Lord. What a camera hog! I wonder if we will be seeing him every day this goes on?

Good God! My husband and I were just roaring with laughter over his reactions. Evidently he's spent a lot of time watching TV. He sure knows how to stay in the shot. He's even throwing in comments and nodding and grinning like some bobble-head doll. I bet he has a fan website set up for him by the end of the day (if indeed he hasn't put one together himself).

OY, what a ZOO! I have a good friend who just retired from the AP who was one of those who had to camp out at "Camp OJ" every damn day of the criminal trial. I'll bet he's rolling his eyeballs at this, but good (and probably thanking God that he's retired so he doesn't have to go through this again. 'Cause they'd for sure have shipped him out from the L.A. bureau to Las Vegas for this.

20. "That Guy" works for Jimmy Kimmel. He does "bits" at courthouses
Yes, he gets paid for his schtick during high profile cases

I've seen him at the Michael Jackson circus and when Courtney Love was arraigned

22. One would hope he gets paid enough to have his teeth fixed.
Unless he just took 'em out for the camera. YOIKES!

3. I am already so sick of "OJ".....yesterday I turned off the TVs
because I could not stand hearing about HIM, the taser incident, etc. Wonder what the outcome would be if HE was an average citizen. Can't believe they lowered his bail. Suppose we'll have to listen to the mindless Abrams' talk until OJ once again, enjoys freedom! :sarcasm:

19. I saw him too....and the tv is now off. The 90's was OK for me.
Oj was not a highlight then and won't be (for me) now. I saw him play in the Rose Bowl ('67?) once and that was enough OJ for me. The MSM is using him to not report the important news.

17. Who is he? Jimmy Kimmel's version of Stuttering John?
I don't watch Jimmy Kimmel, so I've missed all that.

Dan Abrams is now talking about the guy - "apparently a professional prankster." Mission accomplished. :eyes:

Yep, just part of the circus.

Amazing. This is one individual who's gotten more free passes than george w. bush. Makes you wonder what happened in their past lives.
