Is anybody else bothered by this AARP ad?
Edited on Tue Sep-18-07 07:19 PM by wuushew
I saw this on television last night. All the children are wearing shirts with a half-elephant half-donkey mascott. Don't most Democrats take AARP's issues extremely seriously? I don't agree with the bi-partisan blame game here.

AARP has been infiltrated by RW insurance
operatives. The only thing that stops them from giving away the store is that most seniors would cancel their membership if they dared touch Social Security or Medicare. They almost lost their whole membership a few years ago during the Medicare prescription benefit debacle. They have been treading very lightly since then, but I'd say they trend more right than left these days.

1. I'm bother by AARP period
They were an advocacy group that sold out their supposed mission when they prostituted themselves over the crappy drug supplement bill even though most of their members were against it and now they are nothing more than an insurance company and travel agent.

4. As if the GOP wasn't going to block & veto everything they
propose.

The only way any of the objectives mentioned in the ad can happen - remove the "Elephant".
