Considering what the Reagan team did with the Iranian hostages (having them held longer in order to make Carter look bad, and then released as Reagan was sworn in to make it look like the Iranians were afraid of a Republican president), I have to wonder if they'll do something similar with Iraq.

Do you suppose they might arrange something like that in order to box their successors into continuing the occupation? You know, framing their successors as wimps?

1. Interesting concept...
It would certainly help pave the way for Jebbie's run in 2012...

2. The Congressional "Democrats" Are Doing It To Themselves
They seem to not realize that their perma-triangulation on Iraq withdrawal simply moves it to past January 2009, when a Democratic President and a Democratic Congress will have to lead the ugly and murderous affair.

3. I wouldn't put it past 'em, especially since a lot of people from the
reagan era are still around.

4. Ummm...
I would say they already have.

Whoever is stuck with fixing this fiasco is in for a bad time.

5. Yep, and they'll STILL whine about Clinton allegedly removing all the W's from the keyboards.
Then Dems will apologize.
