FROM MY JDRF ACTIVIST CORP:
Earlier this year, legislation was introduced in both the Senate (S. 1494) and the House (H.R. 2762) that would renew the Special Diabetes Program at $200 million per year for five years.
The renewal of the Special Diabetes Program is JDRF’s top legislative priority for this year. If this program is not renewed, we face a cut of 35% in federal funding for diabetes research.
Funding decisions, including those related to the Special Diabetes Program, will be made by Congress this Fall. In order to build support for this program during this critical time, we need to secure more co-sponsors in both the House and Senate on this legislation.
Please click the link below to see if you have any legislators who have not already cosponsored this legislation. If one of your legislators has not cosponsored, you will be provided with talking points and their phone number.

Please, help. As many here know, I have two sons with type-1 diabetes, ages 9 and 6. My youngest was just diagnosed this summer on Father's day weekend.
Please, we are within a lifetime of the cure. A cure is within reach of our lifetime. With the cuts the Administration has been making over the last 6 years and the blocking of Stem Cell Research bills, that may not be so true anymore.
Please keep this :kick:!
