4. the essence of the Bush strategy consists of two points:

a) Create a diversion, keep people looking at the shiny keys...instead of the
main point

b) Cast any one who disagrees with them as "against the troops".

Moveon's ad allows neocons to pursue both ends, and continue to avoid
actually having to talk about the facts.

As good as it may feel to call a spade a spade, this ad was not
strategically smart, and not helpful.

A much better tach was illustrated by tonights David Schuster piece on
Hardball, which simply focuses on the gap between Bush's words
and reality - keeping the focus where it should be.

A wise man once told me, "Being right is the booby prize of life", as good as it may feel .
The point is to do what is necessary to take these evil bastards down.

--no end in sight. But if he can convince the public and the media that his plan is a 'withdrawal,'
