Petraeus to sit down with hard hitting journalist
Edited on Sun Sep-09-07 07:05 PM by kingofalldems
asking tough questions. His name: Brit Hume. Every day seems to bring another outrage. The Nixon crew were pikers compared to these guys.

4. The idiot fox viewers actually believe he's a journalist
I bet the White House will give him an outline of what to ask, if not the entire list of questions.

2. I would take Nixon in a heartbeat over these guys ....
.... even Nixon saw the danger of the Neo Cons and warned against getting U.S. troops involved on the ground in the mid east before he died.

7. And Nixon was actually a veteran
The gop has now become a party dominated with chickenhawks--who believe their life is worth much more than any soldier.

3. Brit Hume? What if Hillary Clinton only granted interviews on PBS and AirAmerica?
Every day when I think, "this could be the day it turns around"... I'm so ever disappointed... I just want to know how much worse this whole damn situation can get...

8. Oh, that's absolutely classic bush!
Another utterly cynical jab at the war/bush weary American public. Press interview? Sure we'll give you your little interview, get Hume on the phone!

10. Hume is beneath Petraeus. Shame on the general. I'd tune in to a talk
between David Petraeus and Jim Lehrer, though.

11. To follow up his hard hitting interview with Hugh Hewitt...
Could this guy be any more transparent? If he is so confident in what he is saying then he should go on Olbermann's show.

14. I've Got A Better Idea
Why don't they just do an infomercial. They could have Patreus on with that Australian guy who sells the mops and the magic can openers-complete with the phony studio audience. They can run it over and over again on every cable channel during the early morning hours. I can see it now..."But that's not all, if you call and support the surge in the next 30 minutes we'll throw in an invasion of Iran for free!". Perfect. There will be a bunch of drooling morons sitting home in front of their T.V.'s dialing away to order a surge of their own.

15. You're missing the real story here...
If the Administration is giving this "exclusive" interview to Fox, it means they've given up on trying to sway the disenchanted public back to their side (or they'd have Petraeus and Croker make the rounds of every network). Going to Fox is a desperate effort to keep the base on on the reservation.
