Yanking the rug out from under Lieberman:
The dems will almost certainly pick up 3+ Senate seats next year. Then they should promptly move to sideling the little toad. They can take away powerful Committee assignments. Let him switch to the Rs then. He'll no longer hold the balance of power. That's one good reason to hope for an increased majority.

2. That might be the thing that I am looking forward to the most if the Senate gets bluer.
Kneecap that ugly lying prick.

5. This thought makes my day a little brighter.
There are few things in life that I despise more than Liberman's kind of behavior. It's a dishonesty thing.

8. What difference does it make? It takes 60 votes for anything now.
The pukes have put in place an automatic filibuster. We can't get anything passed with or without that fucking traitor.

Am I missing something in the equation?

9. More Senate seats = fewer Repubs we need to cross over and vote
with us. It's not a cure-all, but every little bit helps.

11. I'm optomistic about our chances for significant Congressional gains in 08
And I am supremely confident this shitbird will become irrelevant ....... except .....

Wouldn't it be a bitch if we wind up with 59 Dems in the Senate and this shitbird holds the swing vote for that supermajority we seem to need to get an agreement to even take a crap these days?

12. Nah, if we have 59
we should be able to find the crossover vote that'll smack down lieberman, but it won't happen. I see the dems in the Senate picking up 4 or 5.

13. I think your number is realistic ......
.... and it surely falls in the category of 'significant gains'. My postulation was a pipe dream. But a nice one, to be sure.

14. And he knows damn well that's EXACTLY what's gonna happen.
That's why he's "making the most of it" right now-
his unique position of power has an expiration date.
