4. They can't accept or understand the truth

simply because they don't listen.
For one thing, one caller thought the "benchmarks" were set by our own politicians, instead of the Iraq "government" which Bush agreed too.
Another two "limbaughtomies" (best description ever) didn't like the fact of the GAO's assessment report of actual secular Iraqi deaths differing greatly from the DoD's minimized version of accounting; so in typical republicon rhetoric they ask Mr. Walker "how does he know more than Gen. Petraeus"?, or if "he wants to win the war"?
