Just got back from an Obama rally!
It was held in downtown Manchester at a part on Elm St. Beautiful weather, about 600 happy people with lots of Obama stickers and signs. If you are ever within 100 miles of an Obama event, I urge you to go and hear him speak in person. Very powerful and moving. The couple next to me were Independents and they arrived at the park cynical and undecided. The left as Obama supporters. A good time was had by all.

1. I was there, too
Obama was electric this morning.

It made the sunburn on my face worthwhile!

4. Yup--it was hot.
I have a bit of a red face too. But that's my kind of fun!

6. I was the genius...
...who thought it was a good idea to wear my dark suit, since I was onstage. Not a shrewd move!

7. OMG! I was asked if I wanted to be onstage!
I said "no, I like to stay in the background". Later on that day, I felt bad about wimping out, so I told myself that the next time somebody asked me to do something like that, I'd say "yes". The next day, I got a call asking me to be in the roundtable discussion tomorrow, so I had to say "yes". Yikes! You don't happen to volunteer at Obama Headquarters, do you?

9. Mostly neighborhood organizing
I pop into the Manchester HQ from time to time. I've got my own primary on September 18, so I haven't been around the Rogers St. office as much lately.

2. I saw him in Hanover, and met his wife.
Two very impressive people and he is a barn burner of a speaker.

3. I urge all DUers to announce rallys/events for their candidates in advance
My first one was Ed Muskie at Kennebunk Pond - and he really did stand on a stump!
Glad you had a good time, zanne!

5. I announced a rally for Obama in KC
and he's not even my candidate. I think it is noteworthy whenever a national candidate comes to our area.

8. I watched on CSpan, he's always good!
I like when someone in the audience says i love you he always replies with I Love You Back, very good, very good indeed.
