They had to go to Larry's hometown in order to get glowing commentary from impartial Idahoans. The hometown paper claims he was "railroaded" into pleaing guilty to a lesser charge to get it over with.
Edited to add: While I'm in CNN-bashing mode, there's this. Somewhere, I think Iowa, same-sex marriage was legalized for four hours until an appeal was filed, halting the legal unions. But, in the meantime, a couple guys were on top of the situation and quickly said their vows. I couldn't help but notice the disgust underlying questioning of the two guys a while ago by Kiran Chetry.
She asked them if they honeymooned and they said they went to a local hotel to escape the media attention and Chetry says: "And now it's Monday and here you are." And then, though the guys made no mention of any intent to do so, she asks "So, do you intend to adopt children, start a family?" One of the guys answers "We're still in college so any talk of that is far into the future."
Anyways, I can't recall verbatim everything that was said but what was obvious was Chetry's obvious disdain, bordering on disgust, of these two people who love each getting married.
God, I hate CNN!
