Reminder: Tavis Smiley's Annual State of the Black Union is Tomorrow

I wanted to remind the DU family that Tavis Smiley's annual State of the Black Union is tomorrow. As usual, Cspan will be broadcasting it all day, so don't forget to set your VCRs or Tivos.

Also, Tavis' latest book, The Covenant In Action, is in stores now. The Convenant in Action is a follow-up to The Convenant With Black America. And this is especially what I love about Tavis' annual forum. It's not just a bunch of talk about what needs to be done. The Convenant With Black America was borne out of Tavis' State of the Black Union. So he and many others are actually working and putting things into action.
