Rove plans to return home to Hill Country
From the Kerrville Dailey Times, Kerrville,TX 9-1-2007
http://stories.dailytimes.com/story.lasso?ewcd=6ea34fa0fdc12a4b

(snip)

"Before following President Bush to Washington, the Roves bought property between Ingram and Hunt off Texas 39. The two residences listed in their names include two cabins, one 814 square feet and another 494 square feet on a 1/3-acre of river front land valued at $62,000, according to Kerr County appraisal information.

Both are listed, but River Oaks Lodge is named as the owner. Darby T. Rove is the president and secretary of that company and Karl Rove is the registered agent, according to the Texas Secretary of State.

But the tiny cabins aren’t what’s listed as the Roves’ permanent address. Instead, they list a 3,863-square-foot home next door.

That $254,000 home is owned by Estadio Partners, an Austin-based limited liability company listing Robert E. Thomas, Todd T. Olsen and Kathie T. Simpson as members. Olsen of the Austin-based consulting firm Olsen & Shuvalov also is listed as a manager of Upstream Communications, an Austin-based marketing firm employing other former Rove business partners.

We live about six miles or so from River Oaks. We are "adjusting" to the thought of KR being in our midsts! This house was once owned by my husband's business partner and my husband occupied it. We kid him about KR sleeping in his bedroom! I thought it was being used as a bed and breakfast, well, yes, I know it was. Things seems to have changed according to the article. Last weekend hubby saw a black suv type vehicle with very dark windows and on the back a gold painted "W" with 'The President' written under it. He said this vehicle took off and was grossly speeding thru the little town of Ingram (speed limit 30-35) and headed toward Hunt....next town six miles out. We'll keep our eyes and ears open to any "sightings"!

2. Could be interesting. Kerrville, Ingram and Hunt are small
towns by most standards......the word gets around.

8. Well I suppose he knows everything and more than the king knows
so he probably does need protection! Just doesn't seem right! Having read his abbreviated bio on Wikipedia I have to wonder why and how he's risen to such heights of power and privledge.

4. If I knew, I had forgotten about the connection of Rove to one of Cheney's friends..
Harry Whittington. It surely is amazing how many times the same names pop up with these people. They are so intertwined, it is incredible.

That's an awfully big house for two people...even for Karl. It will be interesting to hear who comes and goes through those little towns.

5. Well, it's one lane each direction from where I live to way out past
Ingram/Hunt. The house sits right on the road, little set back, and across the road from the river. My husband and his partner built a bunch of little cottage type places behind the big house..it's not at all remote nor would it be easy to guard! The two little cottages mentioned in the article are just to the right of the house in the picture on the second link. I'm sure the repukes in the area are thrilled! I have to have something ready to say if I ever find myself face to face with the evil incarnate!

In reference to the intertwining: isn't it like the biggest, longest soap opera in history?
