Craig's Press Conference Was Boring
Richard Nixon's was much better...

So was Gary Hart's ....

He doesn't seem to have much emotion...

3. I'd Have A Bit More Emotion
Richard Nixon's was the best ...He started free associating about his late mother and was about to lose it...

Even his 1962 concession speech when he lost the CA gubernatorial race was better...

Very disappointed...

He reminds me of a character out of Dickens who would force you to eat your porridge

Perhaps he'll eventually finger it out.

8. LOL! That's great. I'm sure the Idaho Statesman also prompted
him to pre-emptively declare in 1982 that he didn't like teenage pages either. They're ruthless, I tell ya! Stop dogging this poor, straight man!

16. Did you notice he said the Idaho governor had stood behind ?

I suppose that is OK as long as his excellencies toes don't start to tap too vigorously.

We now have another potential problem. That governor -- one C.L. "Butch" Otter -- will now name his replacement. I don't think I'd trust the judgment of any grown man called "Butch". Imagine all of the cammy clad rednecks running around the woods of the Northwest this time of year hoping to kill a deer. Now imagine Butch running around behind them trying to select a Senator ? That's not a pretty or encouraging picture.

20. Butch Otter is about as opportunist as they come.
Butch Otter looks out only for the interests of Butch Otter. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could see him.

17. Nah, I think Budd Dwyer's takes the cake.
Edited on Sat Sep-01-07 01:03 PM by NYC Liberal

After handing out the envelopes, Dwyer opened a brown envelope and withdrew a .357 Magnum revolver, advising those in the crowd, "Please leave the room if this will offend you." Those in attendance cried out to Dwyer, pleading with him to put the gun down ("Budd—don't!" was heard on television). Some tried to approach him. "Stay away, this thing will hurt someone," he warned.<4> Those were his last words. Amid the cry of "Budd, Budd, Budd!" Dwyer put the gun barrel into his mouth and pulled the trigger. He collapsed on the floor, in front of five television news cameras. Dwyer was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:31 AM CDT.

23. Aside from humiliating his wife and children what did he cause?
He was forced to quit because he embarrassed the Rethug Party & another Rethug will take his place unlike Vitter, who could be replaced with a Dem. He still claims that he is not Gay. Maybe he is not. He could be Bi-Sexual. Does that matter to anyone? That he is a hypocrite is not why he was forced to resign. Being a hypocrite is status quo in the Rethug mob.

24. He pleaded guilty to a crime, and didn't disclose it to the Senate or
to his constituents. That is unethical--he failed the trust of his constituents and his colleagues. He needs to go.
