We're not interested in furthering progressive/liberal ideologies
We're interested in shaming those who don't believe in the same things as we do. SHAME THEM AT EVERY TURN! And, should one of theirs be exposed as being hypocrital, SHAME THEM MORE! Expose them for what they are! It furthers our agenda! Proves we're better than they are!

I'm SO looking forward to the end of their reign. Because I KNOW that our DEMS will make the world a perfect place to live. All we need is to have the power of the purse. Once we've taken over the GUBMINT, I'm thinking it shouldn't take more than five, six months for us to make this a PERFECT place. ZERO unemployment NO matter whether you're a citizen or not. FREE healthcare for EVERYONE, naturalized OR NOT. Emphasis on FREE! You're either with me or against me! Free EVERYTHING for EVERYONE!

Are you WITH ME? Do you want FREE UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE by the end of 2009? Because it can happen. All we have to do is pay for it. I'm all for taxing every penny the Imperial WAR MONGERING SUV DRIVING CIGARETTE SMOKING BOURBON DRINKING RECREATION LOVING FAT AMERICANS. Then, it'll all be easy. Pay the doctors a fraction of what they could make in a free market, and it'll all be better.

Why does it always have to be THEM against US?

2. I would ask Rove...
it was a divisive strategy that became prevalent...

and I agree with you in that unity is a desired outcome...

but

are our goals a shared desired outcome?

3. Talking about the free market with doctors is a bit misleading.
The supply of doctors is determined by state licensing boards who decide who can be a doctor and under what conditions he or she may practice. In other words, doctors have a state imposed monopoly on health care. Now, I'm not disputing the need for maintaining practice standards. I am simply saying that treating medical care like gum drops or pencils is not a fair comparison.

5. You kind of start off one place and wind up another, but I don't quite see how you got there.
The first paragraph was sarcasm, the second starts that way then seems to transform into a tirade against health care and the old fantasy Republicans like to create that Democrats are socialist.

The third continues with that fantasy, then devolves into a complete misunderstanding on your part of the health care system and socialized medicine--I think. Or maybe this is some abstract form of political commentary, sort of a mix of Chomsky and Picasso?

Hard to arrive at any conclusion other than that you don't understand the free market or health care.

7. Does almost everyone get to be called 'one of them'
The OP sorta had a point that was not explicated very well. It seems that we do not discuss, or persuade, but our forte is name calling. RW talking points are not shredded here just scoffed at. "I appreciate your concern" is not a very persuasive argument.
