Stockton Man Discharged Under "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"

All Randy Miller ever wanted was to be a soldier.

In 2004, after graduating from Lodi's Tokay High School, Miller signed up and was assigned to the Army's elite 82nd Airborne Paratroop Division.

"I was stoked. It meant I could be deployed anywhere with only 18 hours warning. It was an honor," said Miller.

Months later, Miller was deployed to Iraq.

"I wanted to go and help bring stability to the region," he said.
