In the event of a financial meltdown,
another Depression, monetary Armaggeddon, whatever you want to call it, what happens to all the lottery money? Does the state hold onto it? I'm thinking the lottery didn't exist during the Great Depression, so wouldn't the funds go to emrgency assistance? What would happen to that money?

1. Well, in my state they passed a law determining where the lotto money goes.
So, in order to change it, they will have to pass additional legislation. Seems silly to me to take away funding for college (which is where the lotto money goes right now) during a Depression. The kids will eventually have to earn a living and restricting attendance in college is not going to help with the job lotto.

3. Where
It goes the same place all our money goes. To the government. You think they're going to give it back ever?

College is over-rated. Nowadays, I'd rather have the $40,000 a year to invest and get a job.

4. Does anyone trust the gummint to make those installments anyway?
I'd rather take the tax hit and get it all up front.

The Government will be just like the Mafia.

The Government will look at you and say, "Sucker!".

Then the Government will look at you and say "You Gotta Problem with that, sucker?"
