Bush seemed less happy about the latest defection from Team Neocon.

It's been a tough couple of weeks for the Bush Crime Family. First Bush's bestest best friend in the whole world ever Karl Rove slithered out of the Oval Office, then Foxy the Snowman hinted that he'd have to leave because - gosh darn it - he wanted to make a ton of money and couldn't do it as a federal employee. Now Abu Gonzales is scuttling fast behind in their footprints.

Defending his leetle tejano 'till the bitter end, Bush said poor Gonzo was dragged through the mud, which "impeding" from doing his important work.

Grammatical errors aside, this presents a serious problem for Dim Son. Who will circumvent the Constitution to allow him to torture innocent civilians? Who will authorize the illegal wiretapping and surveillance of innocent Americans? Who will fire all those pesky US Attorneys that refuse to follow his uber-neocon agenda?

Can Michael "what hurricane" Chertoff fill Gonzo's little loafers? More importantly, who will be the next crime family consigliore to be voted off the island?

Please keep sending those vibes. I'm still hoping but trying to grieve and adjust at the same time. I still look for him to walk one of his favorite paths, or for him to be in one of his favorite spots, and he's just not there, nor is he coming around.

I think I've pissed off people within a 25 mile radius of my house, as I go out in the car looking in pastures, ditches, etc., and I do try to be courteous and pull over to allow people to pass me as I'm driving slowly so that I can look around.

No, he's never been gone this long ever before. We live in a mostly rural area, and he usually stayed away from roads, but he would cross the street if he was visiting the neighbors across the street on his way home. He usually went in the woods around the house and beyond. Whatever happened to him didn't happen close to my house as there isn't evidence of either fur or blood. I've been across a gravel road that runs behind our property, and I've not found any signs of him. :shrug:

Just looking at one house so far. Only one in my price range. It's disgusting how much $$$ they want. It's a great place. But there's a barking dog next door and he won't shut up. The neighbors weren't home, so they must put Yappy in the back yard. It's a small chiwaaaawaaaa or something...

Oh well. I don't even know if they are going to pick me anyway so it could be a moot point!

193. Ah, an ankle biting, yapping dog as we refer to them!

When I last owned a dog, she wasn't too bright about dog stuff, but better about household, kid stuff, and she didn't bark unless she thought there was something that I should be alerted to. Her idea of alert and ours differed on occasion, but she learned not to bark much and she was in the house!

Our neighbors have 2 big dogs outdoors and they barked at us for the first 8-9 months after they moved in, even when we would speak to them in soft tones, etc. We're in yr. 3 and they like us, although I would never get in their fenced in area, because when the neighbors were gone a month or so ago and it was hot and they didn't have water or food (because the people who were supposed to caring for them weren't considering water evaporating...I don't know) we gave them water and started cleaning out the 'fridge' to feed them. Anyhoo...they're much more friendly now.

Well, Rove got his guy in Louisiana. Formerly Democratic state Treasurer John Kennedy has switched to the GOP, likely in anticipation to a Senate bid against Mary Landrieu.

Louisiana is trending Red, and for a nakedly ambitious person like John Kennedy, this was apparently the easiest path to the Senate. I've included his letter announcing the switch below the fold, but apparently he switched because (no joke) his beliefs in ethics, science, technology, and faith are better represented by the corrupt, anti-science, flat-earth luddites and philanderers in the GOP.

Not a good day for Mary Landrieu, though the Dems could really help their cause out by making Kennedy's re-election bid to Treasurer this fall as painful and expensive as possible.
