he was accused of making false statements about his opponent. The newswoman said, "A wrong accusation may cost Bill Jones one million dollars," while the words on the screen said, "A long cushion may cost Bill Jones one million dollars."

And nobody believes me about this one, but it did happen. During the Miss America pageant a couple of years ago, the contestant said, "Public schools have fewer books than private schools," while the words on the screen were, "Public schools have fewer boobs than private schools."
