"Cheney to be gone in three weeks..." (Is this DM again?)
Is this a hoax or did "DM" really predict this in some other posts? Over at TPM the first poster there is saying this:

Comments:

Now that the Justice department is finished with it's house cleaning, The rest of the deal Bush made to spare himself impeachment will begin. The Cheney resignation will be forth coming within the time frame I estimated last week. There are three weeks left on that clock. If you look through obscure posts from three weeks ago until last week, you will see my original predictions about Rove (perfectly timed) and Gonzales (also one week prior as stated) Deny my accuracy and attribute it to coincedence or guessing if you like, but within three weeks from this day the dark one falls. The deal has been made and the substance of it is out. I am not a mystic and do not own a crystal ball. I do however own many devices that are able to communicate messages through the air. These have been put to great use.. Cheney is next, and you heard it here first. AS I STATED WITH MY OTHER POSTS MARK THIS ONE! Do not talk of it, Just mark it! It will be a great remebrance!

3. Well, he does have a greater accuracy rate at predictions than Jason Leopold.
(Will Pitt, if you're reading this, don't kick my ass. :hide: )

5. The only thing that might save aWoL from impeachment is resignation. I do not want that.
We must impeach and remove the cancer that has infected our government.

8. I think so too
To not impeach means emboldening someone else out there who thinks they can take it EVEN FARTHER. And then we really will be a dictatorship. Bush has pushed it about as far as it can go and still be called a democratic republic. We still have a chance to right ourselves and we need to take it.

11. I agree
there has to be serious consequences, resignation is not enough. It didn't work with Nixon who was at kindergarden level compared to this administration. Things must be exposed and they must be impeached if we don't want this to happen again in a decade.

6. No way. Remember all business of the WH goes through Cheney's office
How will Bush be able to function? He will be drowning in all the paperwork within 24 hours of Darth Cheney's departure.

7. That would be something if he went straight back to Halliburton..
... then he could directly profit from the dumbass war he started. Has to be a first for a member of the executive branch, during the same administration.

10. BUT -- getting rid of Cheney will INCREASE the odds that
Dumbya will be impeached. There would no longer be the horrifying prospect of President Darth Cheney.

So if indeed Bush made a "deal" (with whom??) to spare himself impeachment -- won't work.

I thought Cheney would be out shortly after the beginning of the second term to make way for a VP to "succeed" - when that didn't happen I realized Cheney is in to the end, leaving only by death.

12. Here's a thought
What if Cheney leaves he's replaced with (fill in the name) Who then runs for president as a sitting VP? I heard this discussed some months ago here, may be the GOP's thinking!
