OK, Gonzo is gone, now we got Paul Clement - for the foreseeable future
And to be dead honest about it Clement is a lot smarter than Gonzo ever was and not one bit more ethical. Out of the frying pan, into the fire.

under Ken Starr's group at Kirkland? the guy who clerked for Scalia? the guy who represented the US against Jose Padilla in the Supreme Court? The guy who quit to work for Ashcroft while he was still senator? THAT GUY?

he is far, far worse than Ashcroft, and smarter and more evil than Gonzo.

are totally irrelevant under george bush, a skeptical son of a bitch would surmise that it is by design. Put them in charge and the republicans will prove government does not work.

7. He is a *hell* of a good lawyer.
I certainly don't agree with his politics, but if you listen to any of his arguments, it is clear that the man is smart as a damn whip.
