Bush is stronger than ever and Congressional Democrats suck.

Unless you're being sarcastic. Gonzo would NEVER have resigned if it weren't for the Dems and if Bush were so strong? Seriously, WTF are you talking about? What it DOES prove is that the 2006 Dem victory was worth every damn vote otherwise I'm sure we'd still be stuck w/ Gonzo, Rove and a whole host of OTHER maniacs who have recently resigned.

2. I'm sure you must be wrong
Every evidence that we see is a sign that the Bush Administration is stronger - on the verge of declaring martial law and our Congressional Democrats are pansies who couldn't find their own ass if they were sitting on their hands.

4. The evidence is clear
Alberto Gonzeles resigned - therefore the Bush Administration is stronger than ever and Congressional Democrats suck.

One leads directly to the other.

7. Maybe you can explain it for those of us that don't see around corners the way you do
Cuz I ain't seeing it. Gonzo stepping down creates a major problem for the Bush WH. They no longer have a lynch pin holding back the investigations. Gonzo worked as an effective dam against the attempts to investigate both Bush and more importantly Cheney. With him gone they will never manage to get as strong a crony in that office as Gonzo was. Investigations will now go through. The brain and the spine are gone now. No more Rove plans and no more Gonzo blocking. They are crumbling.

8. I'm just pissing around
honestly this is good news and the Bush White House is a lame duck house that will be occupied by a Democrat in 2009. That said, while they are going to be quiet to day, within a week or so we will be hearing from those who think these are the last dsays of Weimar USA, and we should prepare ourselves for the BushReich.

6. They tossed gonzales over the side.
That is all. He was a liability. But do you think that there might have been a deal here? Gonzales goes, the investigation into the AG firings is allowed to die out?

Huh?

11. Exactly what I said
The Bush's are masters of this game and if they dumped Gonzeles it was part of some larger plan to screw with America.

You seem to be just fucking with everyone in this thread.

So do you think that perhaps a deal has been cut and all those subpoenas into the AG firings, the missing emails etc., the entire investigation over which Gonzales was let go, will also be chucked over the side?

Or, out of the blue, the WH just tosses Gonzales with no quid pro quo?

Which is it?

15. Like you said if Bush's tossed him over
It was in pursuit of some larger goal - isn't that your point?

16. No.
First of all, can you really imagine Senator Leahy making a deal with bush/cheney? Secondly, Leahy's already spoken this morning, and made it clear that investigations are not going to end.
