It's Good News Week - Hedghoppers Anonymous

It's good news week,
Someone's dropped a bomb somewhere,
Contaminating atmosphere
And blackening the sky,
It's good news week,
Someones found a way to give,
The rotting dead a will to live,
Go on and never die.

Have you heard the news?
What did it say?
Who's won that race?
What's the weather like today?

It's good news week,
Families shake the need for gold,
By stimulating birth control,
We're wanting less to eat.

It's good news week,
Doctors finding many ways,
Of wrapping brains in metal trays,
To keep us from the heat.

It's good news week,

Someones found a way to give,
The rotting dead a will to live,
Go on and never die.

Have you heard the news?

What's the weather like today?
(what's the weather like today?)

Families shake the need for gold,
By stimulating birth control,
We're wanting less to eat.

Doctors finding many ways,
Of wrapping brains in metal trays,

To keep us from the heat.

To keep us from the heat.

1. TW3--That Was The Week That Was--used this as it's theme song
Once upon a time mainstream media was able to look critically at the government (LBJ's) and like a court jester poke rather biting fun at the insanity.

2. Loved TW3. But that was back in the day of All In the Family,
Smothers Brothers and other great shows. You know, back when people were expected to actually think.

Now it's just a bunch of unreal reality crap.

3. Not much targeted for my generation anymore...
which probably shades my judgement of television.

I think that All in the Family was a 1970's thing while the short life of TW3 was somewhere about 1963 or '64. You almost had to be a war baby or an early boomer to be the age of the target audience for TW3.
