No Washington State NBC Stations to carry KO's Sunday Countdown
Edited on Sat Aug-25-07 03:15 PM by 133724
I was looking for a streaming of KO's Sunday Countdown That would be shown at 4:00 PT before the Game & Found that No Washington State NBC station will be carrying the show'

The lineup is as follows:
KING In Seattle Tweety & Investigative Reporting
KHQ In Spokane Wheel of Fortune & NBC News
KNDO In Yakima Paid Programing & NBC News
and worst of all:

KGW In Portland Ore Paid Programing & Paid Programing

All of these stations I beleive are owned by AH Belo Corporation

Then in early 1997, another leading broadcast company, A.H. Belo Corporation, acquired the Providence Journal and the King Broadcasting stations. Through acquisition, Belo became the nation's third largest independent television group, which includes some of America's most outstanding television stations (12 in the top 50) markets and newspapers in 22 markets throughout the country.

*******************************

Belo's Television Group is one of the nation's largest and most respected. Our 20 television stations deliver journalism that has produced scores of national awards, including five Peabody Awards since 2000, more than any other commercial station group.

This commitment to our viewers translates into loyal audiences and superior revenue opportunities. Belo television stations rank first or second nearly all of the 15 markets where we do business.

4. Does the Portland station normally run paid programming on Sunday nights?
If not, flood those switchboards.

6. Move along, nothing here to see.
It's on West Coast tape delay, as evidenced by this columnist:

http://www.mercextra.com/blogs/buzz/2007/08/24/olbermannnflnbc-update-a-sunday-time-adjustment-plus-i-reply-to-your-comments/

After writing this morning that Keith Olbermann will have a special edition of “Countdown” on NBC at 4 p.m. Sunday, I got an e-mail from NBC saying the West Coast will actually be on a tape delay and the show will air at 10 p.m. — after the Eagles-Steelers preseason dance. (It looks like this bit of info was erroneous up and down the West Coast this morning, which prompted the NBC follow-up.)

The rest of the article is worth reading, incidentally.
