Talk about flawed candidates, these guys are ripe for the ripping. Does anyone really believe that any of these fools could beat any of the dems? I don't care what the polls say about Rudi beating Hillary, that guy has more baggage than Imelda Marcus had shoes. From his propensity to make revoting comments such as the one about how he spent more time at Ground zero than the crews, to his connections with massively corrupt individuals, to his lousy job peformance as mayor, and questionable judgement, not to mention a touchingly sordid personal life- if dems can't neuter Rudy, we might as well hang it all up.

Thompson's not much harder to deal with: He makes bush look halfway intelligent and his history of lobbying and the lousy job he did in the Senate are topics that have barely been broached.

Call it mean spirited, but I'm really looking forward to destroying the repuke nominee- whoever it may be.

2. One person
There is one candidate on the Republican side who, if he got nominated, could give the Democrats a run because he is , and always has been, against the war. Guiliani and the other "top tier" candidates don't stand a chance, but Ron Paul could pose a problem.

3. Ron Paul doesn't stand a chance
at the repuke nomination, but even if he did, by some incredible, fluke get it, he wouldn't stand a chance: Americans don't look kindly and eccentrics- particularly as a candidate for pres.

4. Don't underestimate your enemy.
We got George Bush, didn't we? Twice! How the HELL did that happen? Talk about eccentric.
His stance on the war is winning over alot of independents and Democrats to his side.

5. Nope- poor analogy.
Bush certainly did not come off as eccentric, and I can tell you exactly how we got stuck with him, but I won't bore you with what I'm sure is familiar material. It's not a matter of underestimating, but if you think Americans will go for the complete destruction of the social safety net and the extreme isolationism advocated by Paul, you're not in touch with the electorate.

6. Exactly..
Bush presented himself as 'the guy you would like to have a beer with'.
Paul has few, and I mean very few, decent ideas but, he is far too
'out there' for the pukes to give him the nomination.
