Let's revisit that discussion.

I believe "wrong," in that thread, meant factually inaccurate, ("I was wrong to think Pelosi had been born in Canada") or a guess or prediction you made that didn't pan out, ("I was wrong about Governor X declaring a candidacy by June of '07") but if you want to open this thread up to things you were "wrong" about in other ways, feel free.

I was most wrong when I predicted that * would be out of office by now. I've predicted that several times, most recently this past April, when I guessed he might be gone by the end of that month (yeah...I know). And yet, he remains. So, yuck. I was totally wrong about that and I hate myself.

What have you been wrong about?

1. In Late January, I made a HUGE mistake
I wrote a diary supporting Pelosi, claiming that she needed a lot more time, and that she was doing great.

Boy, do I regret those words these days.

2. I predicted that if the Dems took Congress in 2006, Cheney would be out...
before they officially took over in January. I was wrong. Rumsfeld got the axe instead.

would be the biggest political bombshell like...ever.

5. One thing
I didn't think that the sheer amount of ways that the Bush Admin and their cronies have fucked us all over could have grown so exponentially that you'd need a GRAPE supercomputer just to even get close to crunching the numbers.

For this, I admit I was wrong.

I sincerely apologize.

6. I believed that claims of WMD in Iraq were being fabricated before invasion, but
Edited on Sat Aug-25-07 07:36 AM by 1932
I still thought they'd probably find SOMETHING there.

Now I think, not only were they fabricated, but Bush's guys KNEW there was nothing.

drop hundreds of points due to subprime loan foreclosures in May 2007. It happened in August 2007.

12. If I were right...
we would've invaded Iran 4 times in the last 2 years.

there would've been about 8 Bush-controlled terrorist attacks on American soil

and 75% of DU would be in Halliburton camps by now.

Sometimes it's good to be wrong.

It's amazing but they have continued sending the same troops back over and over again and extending tours and using stop-loss.

I got out just in time.

20. 19 March 2003
I sat here watching a live webcam from Baghdad, the appointed hour for the attack had came and went, I got optimistic thinking maybe the whole thing was a bluff. Then i saw the flash from the first cruise missle.

21. I had some assumptions about GLBT folk
that were steeped in just plain ignorance (I've known like two gay people in my entire life). I can't tell you how grateful I am to those here who pointed out these errors without passing judgement — lionesspriyanka foremost among them. I'm always gonna adore her for enlightening me.

25. Predicted Cheney would go and Rice would take his place
And that Dr. "C" would, as the VP, be the heavy favorite for President in 2008.

To my credit though, I was never once was caught up in the "drip, drip... this is it" DU craze of Bush's first term. So far I've been right in my belief that the main players will never pay for their crimes against the nation or humanity.
