Absolutely GREATEST protest sign EVER!! Im SERIES!!!
Faithful reader Sean spotted this intrepid protester outside the McPherson Square metro this morning. The lady is quite upset about the administration’s plans to re-hang Saddam “Suddan” Hussein — plans she presumably read about in The Onion.

2. It's pretty sad
when reality and the most outrageous fiction are so similar that the average American can't distinguish between the two.

5. With all due respect to that poor lady...
I don't think she's the "average American."

7. I once knew a lady who thought that C-span was spying on her
she watched it 24-7, and actually disconnected her phone because she thought they were listening to her phone calls & the congresspeople/senators were stealing her ideas..

Poor lady..her husband actually had her committed to a hospital for a while..

i wonder if she ever got well.. they moved shortly after..

I pulled over to help this sweet little old grandma-woman whose late-model car had crapped out a good ten miles from town. She was hysterical because a carload of "strange young mean" had passed her on the road and shot her engine with a strange pistol-like device. Her engine, so she said, immediately expired. I explained I would carry her to a phone, or call someone for her if she preferred. (Decades before cell phones.) All she would talk about was the device that croaked her car. I explained I was a mechanic and things didn't work that way. Then she got pissed at me. Eventually, I just left her on the side of the road and reported her to a buddy in the highway patrol.

Strange world.

3. This is obviously mental illness.
I've seen one lady in DC with a sign claiming the Kurt Cobain was her son's half-brother, and that she needed money to track him to the Bahamas.

6. In one sense, she's speaking the truth.
I'm not referring to the rehanging of the dead man part, just what's underlined in red. Although in a metaphorical sense, one could construe the rehanging of Saddam as the Bush administration's attempts in tying Saddam to 9/11.

Saddam, may have been a evil man, but his trial was a farce. His execution more akin to a lynch mob, I believe in large part motivated by a desire of those in control to silence him quickly before the could spill the beans regarding the people; who aided and abetted him to power. While this lady may have a mental illness, I can relate to a deeper meaning behind her message. I must say, I don't understand the evilness behind the Bush administration either.
