Has the miserable little turd in the White House ever been to the Vietnam Memorial?
Edited on Wed Aug-22-07 04:45 PM by Cyrano
How dare he? After seven years of telling us that Iraq is not Vietnam, the horrible beast in the Oval Office tries to make some kind of tentative tie between the two during his speech to a VFW audience that didn't have the common sense to stand up, spit, turn their backs on him, and walk out.

There are almost 59,000 names etched into that black granite. Do you think that George W. Bush has ever been there? What a miserable, despicable human being. He ducked Vietnam, and then has the nerve to bring those thousands into his latest argument to continue his war-for-the-profit-of-the-have-mores.

The constant excuse made for this man is his ignorance. But he's far worse than that. He's a horrible, evil prick. And may he only experience the misery he's visited on so many others.

(On edit: Am I pissed? You bet. This is one of the most inarticulate arguments I've ever posted on DU. But Jesus fucking Christ, I really despise that disgusting waste of space on planet Earth and all of his enablers.)

2. Yes I think he has been there
At least once. I don't remember when but I do remember telling my wife as I watched him on TV that after he left they were going to have to use a steam cleaner on the spot he stood, in order to do a good cleaning of the scum and slime trail he left behind!

4. Sounds like it was a photo op. If he was there, he must have treated it as though he
was touring an auto plant where thousands had lost their jobs, a fly-over of New Orleans while being totally clueless as to what he was looking at, or a visit to Walter Reed where he had no idea that he was personally responsible for putting far too many people in that snake pit that is incapable of treating the best among us because he had cut the funds for vets.

5. A "Photo-op, black background." What the hell. That "black background" represents 59,000 people.
Bush thinks he's going to have a "legacy" and that history will look back on him favorably. He'll probably have a disease named after him.

6. Ok, to tell the truth, it wasn't the official log. I imagined that part. It was just my
cynical comment that everything has a purpose, and for this administration, it seems to be a photo-op. Witness "Mission Accomplished".
