Do you think the news this week could get any weirder?
It starts with Republicans attacking Pelosi for getting a plane that George Bush insisted she take...

Then Chewbacca headbutt attacks a tour guide in Hollywood for interfering in his furry harassment of Japanese tourists...

Then the astronaut attempts to wack her "love rival" with rubber tubing and a mallet while wearing a diaper...

Next John Edwards fires but really doesn't fire two bloggers for writing like bloggers...

Then right as a weird paternity suit is about to hit the fan, Anna Nicole Smith dies...

And finally (altho probably not finally) George HW Bush is caught goosing Teri Hatcher.

We still got two days left in this week. What other distractions from the collapsing Middle East await us?

(PS, feel free to add other freaky news items to this thread)

17. WHAT? I missed those.
I mean, we've been having some weird weather around these parts, but nothing that strange. Haven't had a UFO sighting since the summer in my neck of the woods.

that the moon is indeed made of cheese and that those so-called "moon rocks" are just cracker fragments that NASA has tried to pass off on us for years.

9. No you don't. The White House insisted that the Speaker have a plane in '01
Bush personally told Pelosi that, because she was such a high profile Speaker as well as just one and half heartbeats away from the Oval Office, she needed to accept some rigorous personal security and take the plane that Hastert was using.

Pelosi's sole input into this non-story was to follow Bush's advice and request that she have a plane that could go to San Francisico nonstop. That's the full meat to this scandal. We can't tag the White House with this smear--Tony Snow went to great lengths to try and kill it among the legitimate press. They're all control and security freaks and they do NOT like their security precautions being publicized even by fellow right wingers.

The upshot of this non-story's hysteria is that for the foreseeable future Pelosi will be traveling on commercial flights, but now she'll be buying up lots of tickets to bring her security detail along with her.

10. This one definitely belongs there!
Of course he's straight. He didn't at all desire or enjoy the homosexual relations he PAID to have for three years. With money the congregation donated to pay his salary.

11. Distractions?
"What other distractions from the collapsing Middle East await us?"

Oh, just the fact that George Dumbya Bush is trying to destroy Social Security, make massive cuts to Medicare and Medicaid.

But if the people on DU don't even care about that huge issue, why should the mainstream media?

I guess nobody around here has elderly relatives. That's the only reason I can figure out, as to why people don't think the Social Security story is important.

22. Actually, it reminds me of the nonsense running up to 9/11 #1
And I think the Busheviks are coming to a period where they NEED a 9/11 #2 so they can attack Iran (or have Israel do it for them).

As we all know, by some mysterious power of coincidence or luck, when the Bush Imperial Family NEEDS something, someone to die, a New Pearl Harbor, Fox 'News' to lie about a Democrat, it HAPPENS.

Hence, my concern that the Threat Level for Bushevik False Flag operations is VER HIGH in the next 6-9 months.
