Katrina: The Pat Robertson connection

Don't forget Rev. Pat Robertson's thoughtful reflections on Katrina:

We have killed over 40 million unborn babies in America.... But have we found we are unable somehow to defend ourselves against some of the attacks that are coming against us, either by terrorists or now by natural disaster? Could they be connected in some way?.... Read the bible, read Leviticus, see what it says there.

For which the Rev. Roberston enjoyed the privilege of receiving a federal contract to distribute hurricane relief.

did he ever dispurse the money?

1. I read a story after the hurricane about evacuees being shipped off
to religious camps under very tight rules including no contact with the outside - some camp in Arkansas? Wish I could find it again. Filled me with horror. Which religious group - Robertson?

3. Richard Walden of Operation USA has been outspoken on this issue.

Oh, hell - you'all might as well read the whole list of posts Walden did for Huffington Post:

Suffice to say that I was also pissed that firms like Operation USA and Americares were not included on the list of relief agencies to donate in the aftermath of Hurrican Katrina.

:grr:
