This is the comments section on the stupid WaPo article about Bush wanting to spread democracy around the world. Eight pages of comments so far, and they are blistering!!

They really lifted my spirits.

End tyranny abroad, build tyranny at home.

Surveillance, wire tapping, spying, breaking and entry without warrants or court supervision. Erasure of habeas corpus and posse comitatus. Unlimited claims for "executive privilege". Shut down of freedom of information requests. Shutdown of presidential papers. Violation of Federal law and international treaties. Legitimation and legalization of torture and abuse. Purging independent prosecutors. Stacking the Federal judiciary with ideologues. Kangaroo courts for military prisoners. "Black" gulags for abductees. Outsourcing of torture. Kidnapping by rogue covert squads. "Unitary executive doctrine", which would allow the president total power, without checks and balances, a recipe for dictatorship. Rigged elections, caging voters, suppressing the opposition. Buying up and consolidating media under far-right conservative corporate control and manipulation. Disregard of subpoenas from courts and Congress. Demagogy, lying, jingoism, imperialistic overreach, embroiling the United States in the worst geopolitical blunder in its entire history.

You name it. "Loyal Bushies" will provide it and excuse it. IMPEACH CHENEY FIRST LEST HE BOMB IRAN AND MAKE THINGS EVEN WORSE.

Here's another from the same author:

Seven entire pages of e-mails so far in the first hour after the Peter Baker's article was posted on WP's web site. Not a single favorable response. This unanimity signals surely something is horribly wrong with what Baker is writing and how he writes it. It almost appears Baker and the Post are in an otiose bubble of neoconservative delusion, unable to come to terms with what the reality-based community believes it sees so clearly. The article is so embarrassingly light-weight, one is almost sorry that Baker's reputation -- by this one instance -- has been so obviously damaged by it. Who can take him seriously any more? WHERE IS THE POST'S OMBUDSWOMAN WHEN WE NEED HER?

5. It's good to see those comments, but sad it took so long.
Maybe my head will recover, after all. I've been banging it against the wall for SO long.
