Obama wins the month as "the candidate of new approaches of persistent problems"
I am not sure that it resonates with voters this far out and I think he runs the risk of a "where's the beef" accusation. But it is very clear to me that what he is trying to do is position himself a the candidate of change and tag Clinton with the mantra of "I am running because I like the status quo" or woith the perception that she has no new ideas. and that she is running on brand identity rather than something new.
I think ultimately this is shrewd because it goads Clinton into taking positions rather than spoon-feeding pablum and hoping that is enough to ease the national hunger for something better. If she takes the bait....she becomes a target... if she ignores the challenge...she winds up looking aloof.
I think that is what is behind Obama comments and his decision to go full speed ahead with the views he has taken rather than walk it back a bit.
He does need to bring these home with actual "meat and bones" plans to avoid the no beef comments. but I like his political tact.
and speeches he's given. Lots of information on bills he's passed in the Senate and in the Illinois Senate on the web. I don't really understand the 'where's the beef' stuff with Obama. He's been more specific than most, I think, or maybe I've just gone out of my way to find it.
