Who among the repub candidates is the craziest?
I'd have to put romney up there on the high end of the list, mc cain is of course insane, and I believe duncan hunter has a rat in his skull.

1. Giuliani is one breakdown away from a room with white padded walls....
Tancredo is nuts in an Aryan Nations kind of way.... and John McCain, I'm afraid, is suffering dementia.

5. They're all Slightly Psycho
but if I had to vote for 'mostly likely to be committed' it would have to be Tancredo, followed by Giuliani who is not only on a very short fuse, he's starting to become delusional (today he thinks he was a first responder at 9/11. Tomorrow, he's a rocket ship). When Tancredo drops out of the race -- any minute now, I'm sure -- Giuliani will have the 'batshit crazy' lock.

19. Romney's the most dangerous, because he's the sanest.
He's simply willing to do or say whatever it takes to get into the WH--not crazy, just shrewd.

8. I have to say that....
...your question is like asking someone who is standing in a cemetery, "Who is the deadest?"

IMO, all of the Repig candidates are certifiably insane. Choosing which one is farthest of the deep end IMO is impossible...at least for me.

9. Tancredo, without question
None of the others (that I know of) have called for nuking Saudi cities in response to the actions of not-the-Saudis.

And hell, even Bush's state department says Tancredo's insane. Takes one to know one.

10. Tancredo wants to nuke the black stone in Mecca
Tancredo by a wide margin, I'd say is the craziest. To be fair, I'm not familiar with Duncan Hunter. Ron Paul has an impractical set of policies, but so does every Republican. The rest are just typical idiot Republicans.

11. I think they must all be slightly insane if they're confident enough to run as Republicans
after all that party has put the electorate through in the past six years.

14. They're ALL batshit-crazy, but is that really a disadvantage from their point of view?
Remember, they're trying to appeal to the 28%-or-so of equally batshit-crazy Americans who'll probably decide the rebubbalican nominee.

15. Have to say Tancredo
Anyone who openly espouses dropping nuclear weapons on the sacred center of the Muslim religion is certifiably insane.

Even Bush never came close to saying ANYTHING that outrageous, and look what he did.

18. Ranked, from most to least crazy:
Edited on Sat Aug-18-07 10:46 AM by wienerdoggie
1) Tancredo (Bomb Mecca! Little Brown folks are taking over!)

2) Paul (Yeah, uh, we like SOME government there, buddy, but thanks for playing--also, racist, and a bit of a conspiracy nut)

3) Brownback (All fetuses, all the time, believes the earth is 4000 years old)

4) Huckabee (Can't go a minute without a Bible quote, thinks the Michael Vick situation is funny, believes earth is 4000 years old)

5) McCain (Just a little emotionally unstable, mostly 'cause he's getting really old, but may also be carryover from his POW experience, sadly)

6) Thompson (believes he ought to be President because he played one once in a movie--obviously cannot separate his acting self from his real qualifications for the office, which are: none)

7) Giuliani (in touch with reality for the most part, except for his grandiose sense of 9/11 accomplishments. Also, dictator-like tendencies and an irrational fear of ferrets)

8) Romney (hate to say it, but Romney is the sanest--but "Double Gitmo" and the dog on the roof show a guy who obviously does not have a normal level of empathy)
