(Another) Rising GOP Star Arrested, Special Repukery: Stealing From The Dead
Rising GOP star arrested
Angelo Cappelli is accused of theft from the estate of a deceased bank client.

By NICOLE HUTCHESON and AARON SHAROCKMAN,
Times Staff Writers
Published August 16, 2007

Angelo Cappelli, 37, a prominent local Republican
who lost a heated campaign to win a state House
seat last year.

ST. PETERSBURG - Less than a year ago Angelo Cappelli was a hot newcomer on the local political scene, building key allies in his race for House District 52. Cappelli narrowly lost the election, but his fundraising prowess, Ivy League pedigree and well-established banking job with SunTrust solidified his future with the local Republican Party.

That was until SunTrust began taking a closer look at paperwork coming from his office. After a six-week investigation, police arrested Cappelli on Wednesday morning at his lawyer's office on Central Avenue. He faces grand theft and perjury charges, according to St. Petersburg authorities.

Cappelli, 37, is accused of stealing more than $100,000 from the trust of a deceased bank client. By Wednesday evening, Cappelli was out of jail on $55,000 bail. He could not be reached for comment.

"He was very emotional and provided the detectives with a complete confession to the crimes," said Bill Proffitt, a St. Petersburg Police Department spokesman.

*** - I know, I know.... you're gonna say "ho-hum, just another Repuke doing what comes natural -- ripping people off." Ahhhh-haaaaa.... but that's where you'd be wrong!!! Because this time he CONFESSED HE STOLE FROM DEAD PEOPLE!!!! AND HE WENT TO YALE!!! So far, no comment from the White House or the Skull & Bones Club.

Which only goes to show that Republicans have this life-to-death thing covered like cheap suit. They got the snow-flake babies in their test tubes just a-waiting for a proper burial (which will take place as soon as the Repuke lawyers are through checking to see if they, or their donors have bank accounts), and they've got the old, cold & dead. The rich old, cold & dead. Who are the ones who usually do have checking accounts, especially a lot of the one's that live in Florida in their second or third or fourth homes. Sometimes they might even check to see if the old person's still got a pulse before they rip em' off! Its that compassionate conservativatism, I tells ya!!!! Now, excuse me while I go puke.....

5. Yep.
A woman whistleblower called the regulatory agency in TX for morticians and got ignored. Bush was involved with Mr. Waltrip who owns SCI, Service Corporation International. SCI has bought up many local funeral parlors and kept the names the same, so you don't realize you're dealing with a giant chain store. It's the world's largest funeral company, I believe.

Waltrip started as Waltrip Funeral Company. There is a Waltrip High on the NW side of Houston.

Lying Under Oath. Bush & Co. Squelch Investigation of Contributor's Funeral Homes

In a (so far successful) attempt to stop a scandal, Bush perjured himself under oath, according to the sworn testimony of two of his political allies. The situation is amazingly similar to Clinton's Lewinsky problem: a potentially damaging lawuit arose (see below) that threatened to involve him. Just like Clinton, Bush swore an affidavit that he had no involvement in the case, which got him excused from testifying. And just like Clinton, the affidavit was proven false months later by new evidence. In this case, it's the recent sworn testimony of Robert MacNeil, a Bush appointee, that he had discussed the case with Bush at a fundraiser.

This scandal isn't as sexy as Monica's, but perjury is perjury, and this scandal actually involves the governor's job, not his sex life. Texas' state commission on funeral homes (the TFSC) started an investigation of SCI, the world's largest funeral home company (with 3,442 homes, plus 433 cemeteries) after complaints that unlicensed apprenctices were embalming corpses at 2 SCI embalming centers. The commission visited a couple of these, and ended up fining SCI $450,000.

What amazes me are the women. They can't have an ounce of humanity between three or four generations. Its got to be genetic....

Just, because, I'm 36 and I've endured Reagan and Bush Sr. The obvious s*** does not need to be explained to me, thanks.

But these days, you cannot rely on the mainstream media to tell you anything. I try to pay close attention to the news, but all I get is a comprehensive analysis of Lindsay Lohan's DUIIs.

Thanks for posting great threads, DeSwiss!

2. They steal from the dead, they'll steal from the living
They'll steal from the unborn and not yet conceived. They'll steal from anybody and anything they can. I really think that the punishment of cutting off the hand for stealing should be applied to pukes.

11. You know.....
...now that you mention it - WHY HELL TO THE YESSSSS!!!

I mean they're always like, "gays are bad." Which they weasle and strain from straight outta the BOOK. But they always seem to skip over the parts about losing body parts for stealing, and gouging out eyes and such for looking at the wrong things.

Well, I say we put into as one of the Democratic Convention's planks. I'm sure it'll go over well. Well, maybe not with the DLC, but they're DINO's so who cares!?!?!
