Oh, BULLSHIT!
Since when is NYPD enough of a thinktank to determine what the biggest threat our entire nation faces from terrorism. Who the hell funded this "study"? How long was it conducted? Which research arm of NYPD conducted the study? And what a goddammed coincidence that these "results" were made public on the very same day as our government announced it would turn its spy satellites on us. AND WHY THE HELL AREN'T THE MEDIA ASKING THESE QUESTIONS ALREADY?

Just plain, unsweetened, non-low-fat BULLSHIT!

(BTW, I agree about homegrown terrorism, but I don't think the problem lies with disaffected young muslim men. It lies with good ol' red-blooded, white-skinned 'murikan terrorists. Like Timothy McVeigh and Eric Rudolph.)

6. But ... but ... but...
the LOUDLY reassured us today we have nothing to fear. Jesus H. Christ on a crutch. The NYPD, for god's sake, is conducting and publishing research results about what kind of terrorism we should fear? The fucking police department? And to make us safe, our government is going to spy on US?!?

16. It is just one more inevitable push towards authoritarianism.
Some people here will laugh at me for saying that, just keep on laughing. The BFEE won't care once you see the truth and by then it will be too late.

31. Right on Rex
These authoritarian ass hats won't stop fucking with people and intruding into our minds and lives until they have their fucking "dream" of total control.Problem is it is OUR nightmare.

I HATE all AUTHORITARIANS!!Authority is an EMPTY sound, A LIE.
And we should not give up ANYTHING for the impossible FALSE promises of security they spew to steal our freedoms.
But dammit too many of the population BELIEVE they NEED leaders to tell them they are safe in a world that will NEVER be safe especially as authoritarian shit heads are trying to dominate it.

I wear the black..for all the lives denied expression and snuffed out by authoritarian systems of control. I will never forget.Beauty will prevail over domination. If that is what WE desire.

As a matter of fact, they shouldn't be in the business of determining terrorist threats.

are the biggest terror threats to average Americans.

27. Amazing that Clinton didn't feel the need to spy on us...
after the OK City bombings. I don't recall Americans taking part in the 9/11 attacks. The 'pubs are so paranoid (as they should be, they suck, so they are despised by much of the populace). The only attack they fear is on their own power.

I thought I was done with really nasty government after the 60's, then Reagan and Bush 1 etc. etc., and I am just too outraged to keep this up without making myself sick anymore. 4 Years was bad but 8? God forbid. I hope I live to see these mothers out of office and if wishes really do come true, and I wish upon that damned star every single night, they will be in orange jumpsuits for the rest of their lives and then I could die peacefully with a smile.

http://www.nyc.gov/html/nypd/pdf/dcpi/NYPD_Report-Radicalization_in_the_West.pdf

"In order to test whether the same framework for understanding radicalization abroad
applied within the United States, we analyzed three U.S. homegrown terrorism cases
and two New York City based cases:

• Lackawana, New York
• Portland, Oregon
• Northern Virginia
• New York City - Herald Square Subway
• New York City – The Al Muhajiroun Two"

Well THERE. Now I feel better about the STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE of these findings. These STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT UNIVERSE OF incidents and locations DEFINITELY apply to my life in the desert Southwest.

(Edited to add quote from report, along with my snorting disdain of the entire stupidity. And to correct stupid spelling.)
