6. There's no where near the protest marches either.
During 'Nam, there was at least ONE march every day, most on college campuses.

Ah, the good ole' days.

7. That was due to the draft but
there are protest and vigils almost everyday,
somewhere in the US and Iraq and other places.
The MSM just doesn't bother to report it much.

9. Unfortunately, except for the "big fiestas" that are put on every so often in DC or another major
city, these protests aren't well attended. Heck, I often buy coffee in the winter for a tiny crew that protests not all that far from me every weekend, but there's only a couple of "old folks"--Vietnam era, frankly--out there with signs. No kids. No 18-26 year olds. Not a one. Ever. And that little group has been at this for years.

What would get them off their ass? A chill wind? A draft?

embarrassed to speak out! I know there are a lot of young people at the big marches
but the daily/weekly one's seem to be attended by only boomers and older. I know music
concerts are a big draw. Perhaps when the college kids all return to school? They'll get
the crowd involved! Add good weather and an outdoor concert, then maybe?

8. And they were well attended, too. What I find amazing is that we were able to find them,
without the internet, without XEROX, even--it was mostly mimeograph or .... good heavens...HAND MADE flyers!!!! Thank heavens for that telephone, even though it was anchored to the wall, and you had to use your finger and make circles to call people, in most homes!!!!
