ROVE: "I Do NOT Lose Privilege By Leaving The White House"
Edited on Tue Aug-14-07 09:23 AM by kpete
Legal Troubles He also addressed the subpoenas he faces in Congress. President Bush has kept him off Capitol Hill so far, citing executive privilege. And Mr. Rove expect that his “role within the White House remains protected.” More from Mr. Rove:

I do not lose privilege by leaving the White House — just as former Presidents don’t lose the privilege when they leave the White House. You remember that there have been instances where the current President, on behalf of President Clinton, has asserted privilege.

...............

On His Employment History: “I have an employment record that I think would be attractive to any employer: I’ve worked in an industrial kitchen in a hospital; I’ve waited tables; I’ve worked in convenience stores and have been robbed at the point of a gun twice; I’ve pumped gas; I’ve babysat; I’ve cut lawns; I’ve delivered newspapers.”

Why did he bring up resigning when he did: “Look, it was at the end of a day and we didn’t have much else to talk about.”

So are you replaceable then? “Yes, absolutely. Absolutely.” Is anyone else on the White House staff replaceable? “Everybody is. Except two.”

2. He's equating himself to presidents? Methinks he's a tad delusional, and
hope the judiciary committees paint a target on his back. I hope he's fair game.

8. He definitely considers himself as important and protected as the President.
It will be interesting to see if he corrects his statement.

5. Maybe he could go back to school and get his B.A.?
Unless he wants to wait tables again, I'd suggest he get a college degree.
