Wingnut attempts to whip up protest against Keith Olbermann's NBC football coverage
Get a load of this steaming pile of crap:

Liberalism to Infect Sunday Night Football

...Football is one of those things that distinguishes America from the rest of the world. It exemplifies our nation's toughness, grandness, and our competitive spirit better in my opinion than any other sport. Not at all compatible with Olbermann's pansy-assed brand of far left anti-Americanism. ...having spent the better part of the last decade making a living by taking a dump all over everything I value, I simply cannot get comfortable with the idea of him in any way involved in this American institution(sic)...

Uncle Jimbo at blackfive suggests emailing the president of NBC sports to express our collective disapproval of this stunt.

Hmm. I wonder how you report on a football game "liberally" anyway?

2. I wonder if Uncle Jimbo at blackfive approved of Limbaugh on MNF
The overweight drug addict who chickenshitted out of the service.

Olbermann began his national career as a broadcaster on ESPN.

Uncle Jimbo at blackfive needs to worry about removing his head out of his ass.

3. ABC/ESPN actually wanted Limbaugh to be a commentator
Edited on Tue Aug-14-07 06:54 AM by lpbk2713

They even gave him a try. Turned out he wasn't worth a shit. Who knew?

KO has a background as a sports commentator. And he would be a good one if his schedule would permit. Thing is, he's too much in demand in other areas right now.

4. They're doing this in response to what happened to Limbaugh...
...when he went to work for ESPN , in which there was a tepid response from the left. Of course, what ultimately did in Limbaugh's sportscasting career was his racist comments about Donovan McNabb, NOT any attempts by the left.

9. I'm intrigued by the part about KO's "far left anti-Americanism".
What do you suppose this wacky person could possibly think he is talking about? KO has pushed back against the imperial kingship/presidency of a failed leader widely acknowledged (worldwide) to be one of the worst presidents in American history. Keith has exposed the corruption and incompetence that has left New Orleans still unrepaired, has made a world-class mess in Iraq, and has submitted our Constitution (it's ours, not yours, Mr. Bush) to fatal dilution by a weasely, womanish "loyal Bushie" suckup called Gonzales, who remains as our Attorney General. And don't even get me started on the always-wrong resident sociopath called Big Dick!

In this fool's "mind", Americans who object to any or all of the above depredations (or any of the dozens I have left unmentioned) are "far left anti-Americans".

Is it possible for anyone, even Cheney or Kristol, to be more fundamentally wrong-headed than this clown?

15. He's about right on one thing. Football (NFL) does exemplify our nation's
'toughness, grandness(?), and competitive spirit' like nothing else. It might be said that football is the only thing that represents those American values as I see nothing else that does. Half the population is so 'tough' that the mere word 'terror' has them hiding under the bed. The only thing 'grand' about America is our ability to over-consume. And by acting the part of World Bully, I see we cannot accept any 'competition'.
