'Mr. Rove said he expects Democrats to give the '08 presidential nomination to Sen. Hillary Clinton'
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB118698747711695773.html?mod=hpp_us_whats_news

In the interview, Mr. Rove said he expects Democrats to give the 2008 presidential nomination to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, whom he described as "a tough, tenacious, fatally flawed candidate." He also said Republicans have "a very good chance" to hold onto the White House in next year's elections.

Mr. Rove also said he expects the president's approval rating to rise again, and that conditions in Iraq will improve as the U.S. military surge continues. He said he expects Democrats to be divided this fall in the battle over warrantless wiretapping, while the budget battle -- and a series of presidential vetoes -- should help Republicans gain an edge on spending restraint and taxes.

Rove "expects" a lot in his absence, doesn't he?

2. "expects to give" - there's alot of meaning in that statement.
As in, the fix is probably in.

Americans need to wake up to the farce of an election system we have.

Its a system alright, but we have no say, that is until we realize what a lie the system is and quit giving our money and time to corporatized candidates.

There simply will not be any legitimate elections until WE count the paper ballots ourselves.

Otherwise, enjoy the show and enjoy giving your dollars to an election that is already predetermined.

5. Actually, there's no meaning in that statement.
Except that the Republicans tried to destroy the Clintons and it didn't work, so they now have a superstitious fear of their invincibility.

6. The same machines that count the votes in November count the votes...
in the primaries.

It's the PERFECT time to rig an election.

3. I seem to remember
him talking up the economy and the war last election as shoe in topics for repulbican candidates. Neither topic helped last election and neither is certain to help this cycle either. The worst thing any candidate do is hire Karl. Because such a direct link to president stupid is sure to sink them.

7. A bit of reverse psychology?
Maybe he's hoping that in turning against Clinton, Dems will be divided and in disarray.

9. That, and plain old Clinton-bashing. He's been at it so long he couldn't stop if he wanted.
His last words on this earth will be some attack on one of the Presidents Clinton.

8. Go fuck with the minds of your own sheep, Putzhead. We'll worry about our party.
And we don't "Give" our nominations to anyone. If Clinton wins, she's earned the nomination.

I'll bet Karl has had that phrase "fatally flawed" in his brain for seven years now, and thought "Well, I can never use it about the person it most fits, might as well trot it out for Clinton and hope some idiot is dumb enough to still believe me."

11. Rove agrees with the DLC & "Centrists" and vice versa? I'm shocked.
The DLC & "Centrists" were opposed to challenging the results of any of the stolen elections. (So was Rove)

The DLC & "Centrists" supported the war. (So does Rove)

The DLC & "Centrists" constantly insulted and disparaged people on the left and in the anti-war movement (So did Rove)

Most of the DLC as an organization & most "Centrists" opposed the Alito Filibuster. (So did Rove)

The DLC wanted Lieberman to win over Lamont. Even after he announced that he might run as a 3rd party, they refused to drop their support. (Same with Rove- who also wanted Lieberman's conservative 3rd party to prevail over the Democratic candidate.)

Hillary of the DLC vocally agreed with and reinforced Rove's framing that Kerry was against the troops.

The DLC & "Centrists" oppose impeachment. (So does Rove)

Etc, etc, etc.

It is not a shock that the DLC, various "centrists" and Rove all agree that Hillary will be the DEM nom.

Since when do they actually have wide disagreements on something major?

13. Before the '06 elections, he claimed to be privvy to "numbers" showing a GOP win.
How did that work out, Karl?

15. They're all saying that--mind phk
If the Repigs and their lapdog, the nooz media, keep saying it, we'll think it's a done deal and won't "throw our votes away" on anybody else. Then, with Hillary the Dem candidate, they can really get down to their smear tactics.

They make me :puke:
