Bwahaha! Al Maliki signs oil alliance without the approval of King George
Nouri Al Maliki, who visited Turkey at the beginning of the week, signed the oil pipe alliance with Iran.

The unexpected closeness between these two countries caused the relations with the USA to decline. The alliance between Iraq and Iran brought about reaction from the USA President George W. Bush.

Bush warned Maliki on Iraq's close relation with Iran and said, "I hope he (Maliki) has warned Iran sharply. I am sure that Maliki does not suppose that they are being constructive."

So, is something lost in the translation here or does the boy king really think Iraq is 'warning' Iran about anything?

3. What effect does this have on the western oil companies?
I'm in the middle of reading Armed Madhouse, and according to Palast, the real reason the US invaded Iraq was because Saddam was destabelizing oil prices, so he had to go! The oil companies wanted a piece fo the action in Iraq's oil, and I know the US was pressuring Malaki to sign a deal where the oil companies would own 70% of the Iraqi oil and Iraq would keep the remaining 30%. THAT was the deal worked out by Jim Baker.

Ohhhh, I HOPE this means Malaki has told King George & Jim Baker to ....OFF!

4. Puppet Malaki doesn't breath without asking Bush's permission first
Otherwise Bush wouldn't be keeping him alive in the Green Zone.

Don't fall for the malarkey from Malaki.

7. Has this made US news?
Edited on Sun Aug-12-07 12:06 PM by blogslut
Cause I'm looking at teh Google news and it appears that maybe it's not getting the proper coverage in America. I got 15 stories when I searched with Maliki + Oil + Iran. None of them were US or even wire services.

Now, why would the American media ignore such a story? :tinfoilhat:
