i don't have a car, but i need to rent one. to get full coverage, the insurance is more than the cost of the rental. is there a third party insurance company where i can quickly, easily and affordably purchase auto insurance for the time i'll be renting a car?

1. Yes you can get third party insurance, but

it only covers you if you get in an accident with a Green.

3. Insurance is never cheap, best to get it from the Rental agency

You may pay more for it, but compare that to the cost if you had an accident, no matter whos fault it is.

4. Try a different rental company. Or, do you have any credit cards? Many of them will
give you coverage for a reasonable fee...

6. I always rent from Enterprise. Their insurance is reasonable...
but I have my own insurance on my own car, so I don't buy theirs.

Still, though, I recall the insurance being about $13/day. That's really not that much.
