(On edit: damn, sometimes these photos don't seem to work. Can anyone tell me how to know BEFORE I write a caption about a picture that I can only reproduce with a link . . . which most people won't click? . . . It IS a good picture and goes well with the caption.)

see if the link ends with ".jpg" or ".gif"

if it does not, it may be a code snippet that pulls the pic from a database - in which case the link may not work

this one is an active server pages (asp) call to a database

as a general practice, you can test by pasting the link into your post and "preview" the post before bothering to write anything
