How Bush and the Media will make the "Surge" look like the greatest thing since sliced bread

They're focusing the escalation on two things:

The Military Sphere

And the Political Sphere

We're already seeing it, the government of Iraq has all but collapsed, but the media would rather focus on the meager military successes.

By September, if one of us asks about the political situation in Iraq, the Media (A subsidiary of the Bush Administration) will respond with "Political What?!", and that's something you can count on.

1. The subtext is that we are terrorizing Iraq into submission

by doubling the bombing.

My skin is crawling because it's so like the end of the Viet Nam war. Deaths. Lots of deaths -- and for what? Big Oil? Bush Cronies? Republican CYA?

2. What is curious, and not being said.....

on Charlie Rose last night, an ABC newsman (had a Brit accent, don't remember the name) was talking pretty honestly about the political progress (none)/military progress (perhaps a bit) way of looking at things. Charlie Rose asked what was to me a big question. What if they are just waiting us out? What if the surge just appears to be working because they are one step (at least) ahead of us...so are just in hiding/biding their time.

The ABC newsdude acted as if the question weren't even asked and went on to another topic.

The ego/hubris of our leadership (so called) is doing us in, because we assume that we are so much smarter than anyone else - and it is leading to us getting outsmarted at every point.

We are seeing it already,also look forward to the ratcheting up of accusation of Iran is behind almost everything that happens before the Surge report,with a few incident of fancy colored coded Terra alert thrown in for good measure,to make sure the fear factor stays kicked in to the highest level.
As americans We have been terrorized by the Bush admin,to live in and accept a permanent climate of fear and paranoia by the Bush admin,to justify their illegal, unjust, immoral,and criminal war on the Iraqis.Tera,Tera,Tera

We might also hear that for our security and Freedoms,and that we must stay in Iraq indefinitely,and of course they will bring up resolution for that,which will be again supported by our so called Dem Congress.
