A Letter From Abroad To The Democratic Party leadership Via Moveon
Edited on Wed Aug-08-07 10:53 PM by althecat
Hi,

I just signed MoveOn.org Political Action's petition demanding that Congress reverse their capitulation to Bush on warrantless wiretapping. Click here to read more and sign:

I wrote:

Dear United States Democratic Party,

Kia ora,

When the entire world is hoping that you will use the illegal activities of
Gonzales, Rove and Cheney to impeach this administration you have
done the opposite - effectively mailed the White House a
get-out-of-jail free card. I am apalled.

The text of the petition is:

"I'm outraged that Congress capitulated to President Bush and gave
him more unchecked power to wiretap Americans without a warrant. I
demand Congress act swiftly to reverse this reckless act."

Thanks,

1. Here's a thought
I don't know if it's been speculated here or not, but has anyone considered the reason they let him have the power is that there's every indication that after 2008 they will be in the big chair and THEY also want the power for themselves? It's not like they've turned out to be anything like we hoped they'd be in most other areas.

3. Some DU's have already mentioned that but I just don't see it as reality, They
have to be aware that the past two elections were stolen, and I have no doubt that the next one coming up soon could be in the same danger, so no, I don't believe that little rumor that some had posted.

4. They don't want the power from themselves...
.. the interests they represent want the power for themselves. What this shows is how deep the military industrial corporate fascist culture has burrowed into the very fabric of the U.S. Constitution and Democracy. It is very very very sad.
